Hi, I’m Sarah Beck — and I’m so glad you found your way here.
If you’re a hairstylist or beauty professional who shows up for everyone else day after day, this space is for you. We give so much of ourselves to others that it can leave us feeling depleted — or like the therapist behind the chair, even though we were never trained for it.
The Balanced Hairstylist is a space for our mental health. We deserve the tools and understanding to feel more balanced in our jobs and in our lives.
Everything I share comes from psychology, science, and lived experience. After 24 years behind the chair and eight years leading workshops, retreats, and communities, I’ve seen how often hairstylists reach burnout from the emotional weight we carry.
We love what we do — but it can be overwhelming. The Balanced Hairstylist exists to help us care for ourselves the way we care for others, so we can keep doing what we love without losing ourselves along the way.
