Releasing What’s Not Ours
An End-of-Day Reset
As hairstylists, we hold more than hair in our chairs. We hold stories, emotions, and energy all day long.
This week on The Balanced Hairstylist Podcast, I’m sharing a short guided end-of-day release designed especially for hairstylists that are asked to be pseudo therapists. A moment to pause, breathe, and let go of anything you may have picked up throughout your day.
Because you can care deeply for your clients without carrying their energy home.
Let it be.
Let it go.
You are doing amazing. Our work asks so much of us. We hold space, energy, and stories all day long. And we deserve the chance to release what isn’t ours areturn to ourselves.

Thank you for this!
It’s easy to underestimate how emotionally demanding service roles can become when people share their lives in intimate settings. Finding ways to mentally separate at the end of the day can help prevent burnout from accumulating quietly over time. Caring without absorbing everything is a skill that often gets learned through trial rather than training.
